"They have experience in handling cases like this. So, there is no concern regarding that problem," Syarief said when receiving Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Xiao Qian at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta on Friday, January 24, 2020.
According to Syarief, the spread of this new virus is centralized in Wuhan, China. The local government has banned its citizens from entering or exiting the city.
To control the outbreak, the Chinese government has localized areas affected by the outbreak. In addition, security in the Wuhan region has also been tightened.
"First, we can still control the residents there, so residents of Wuhan do not leave Wuhan. For people from other areas do not travel to Wuhan, so we will control public transportation within an undetermined time limit," Xiao explained.
Chinese authorities recently reported that the death toll from the corona virus rose to 25 on Friday, January 24, 2020.
