President Jokowi joined the Extraordinary Virtual G20 Leaders' Summit on Thursday, March 26, 2020. The former Jakarta governor was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
"During this summit, I encouraged G20 leaders to win the wars against covid-19 and the weakening global economy," President Jokowi said on his official twitter page @jokowi on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
"Therefore, G20, together with WHO, must lead efforts to discover the covid-19 anti-virus and cure," President Jokowi added.
According to him, G20 must also work to ensure continuous production and steady flow of basic food supply and medical equipment as well as further synchronize fiscal and monetary policies and strengthen global and regional financial safety net.
The vitual summit was led by Saudi Arabian leader King Salman. 20 G20 member countries, seven guest countries, nine international organizations and two regional organizations participated in the meeting.
