"Once again, this repatriation process is voluntary," the minister said here on Thursday, February 27, 2020.
"As of now, the total number is 68," the country's top diplomat added.
As many as 78 Indonesian crew members work aboard the quarantined ship. Eight of them recently tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto, the 68 Indonesians will be evacuated with an airplane. After that, the evacuated Indonesians will be put under observation for 14 days on Sebaru Kecil island, Thousand Islands Regency, Jakarta Province.
The cruise ship has been quarantined in the Port of Yokohama since early February 2020. The Japanese government have greenlighted the planned evacuation of the 68 Indonesian crew members.
