Jakarta: Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi has revealed that as many as 88,832 Indonesian citizens have returned to Indonesia from various countries.

"Today, 196 Indonesian citizens will arrive from Bangladesh. In addition, 567 Indonesians who work as crew members at three cruisers will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Benoa Port," the minister said here on Monday, May 11, 2020.

As of Monday afternoon, the central government's Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling has recorded 14,265 confirmed covid-19 cases, 2,881 confirmed recoveries and 991 confirmed deaths.

President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo recently urged the public to follow strict health protocols during the implementation of Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), despite the slowdown in covid-19 cases

However, President Jokowi also said that the number of cases could still go up and down.

According to the President, Indonesia was fortunate for choosing PSBB, instead of a total lockdown or regional quarantine. He added that the PSBB allows public activities with limitation in the number of people attending, although the public should still maintain their distance. He asserted that PSBB requires the public to heighten their awareness in limiting themselves from large social gatherings.
