Jakarta: All Indonesian citizens in Singapore were asked to be careful after an Indonesian migrant worker in the country was tested positive for novel coronavirus.

"Also pay attention to the Singapore government's appeal through the official website of the Ministry of Health in Singapore," said Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health Anung Sugihantono in Natuna on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

"That is the concern of all of us," said Anung.

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore confirmed that an Indonesian citizen (WNI) contracted the coronavirus.  The Indonesian citizen was allegedly infected by his employer who was also confirmed to be infected by the virus.

"The Singapore Ministry of Health announced the 21st coronavirus case in Singapore, which is a 44-year-old Indonesian citizen who works as a migrant worker, "Foreign Ministry Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah told Medcom.id on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

The Indonesian worker did not have a history of traveling to China. The 44-year-old woman is currently undergoing intensive care.
