    87 Indonesians Abroad Have Tested Positive for Covid-19: Ministry

    Jakarta: The Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported that the total number of Indonesian covid-19 patients in other countries has reached 87.

    "The total number of confirmed covid-19 cases is 87," the ministry said in a press statement here on Thursday, March 26, 2020.

    According to the ministry, four new cases were recorded in India. In the meantime, one new case was found in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Vatican and Germany.

    The governnment has decided to implement prohibtion of entry or transit to Indonesia for foreign travelers who in the last 14 days have travelled to Iran, Italy, Vatican, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland.
     
    Announced last week, the measures was effective from Friday, March 20, 2020. In the meantime, similar existing measures for foreign visitors from mainland China and South Korea's Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province remain in effect.

    As of Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the central government has recorded 790 confirmed covid-19 cases, 31 recoveries and 58 deaths.
