Indonesia Delivers Humanitarian Assistance for Rohingya Refugees

medcom.id, Jakarta: The Indonesian government has delivered humanitarian assistance for Rohingya refugees in Myanmar. 

"The containers carry instant noodles, baby foods and sarongs," President Joko Widodo said at Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta on Thursday (12/29).
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi visited Myanmar earlier this month. She addresed the humanitarian crisis in Rakhine state. She also offered humanitarian and capacity building assistance.

"We do not use megaphone diplomacy," he mentioned.

Myanmar troops razed Rohingya villages in Rakhine state over the last few weeks. Previously, Rohingya militants reportedly attacked Myanmar officials.

"I hope peace and stability can return in Rakhine," he stated.
