medcom.id, Jakarta: Immigration Officials detained six Iraqi citizens in Puncak, Bogor, West Java on Monday (8/8) night.
Bogor Immigration Office head Herman Lukman mentioned that the six men are asylum seekers. They have certificates from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
"We found them working at barbershop," Herman told reporters on Tuesday (8/9/2016).
According to the regulation, asylum seekers in Indonesia are not allowed to take jobs. Furthermore, they have to stay in designated areas.
Herman added that the six Iraqis will be moved to detention center in Kalideres, Jakarta.
