On Thursday, Indonesia received eight million more doses of Sinovac covid-19 vaccine in the form of bulk vaccine.
"The arrival of the 29th batch of the vaccine will accelerate the national vaccination program," the Minister said in a press conference welcoming the arrival of the vaccine, as quoted by the Cabinet Secretariat's website.
In the press conference, the Minister also said that the vaccine rollout would not be delivered optimally without public support.
To that end, he invited the public, especially religious leaders and leaders of mass organizations and religious institutions, to continue to join hands for the successful vaccine rollout by visiting vaccination centers and helping to disseminate information to the public.
Moreover, Yaqut also appealed to the public to maintain self-discipline in observing health protocols to prevent the transmission of covid-19.
Closing the statement, the Minister appealed to the people living in zones with Level-4 or Level-3 restrictions, red zones, and orange zones to perform prayer at home.
