Indonesia Records 7,264 New Coronavirus Cases

Jakarta: Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Thursday reported 7,264 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia to 1,361,098.
 
From Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country increased by 6,440 to 1,176,356
 
Within the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll was up by 176 to 36,897.

Ten million doses of raw materials for covid-19 vaccine arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airpport in Tangerang city on Tuesday afternoon. 



The raw materials from Sinovac company was carried by national carrier Garuda Indonesia flight number GA891.

Therefore, the Indonesian Government has procured 38 million doses of vaccines from Sinovac company as of this week.

The vaccines will be used to support the free mass vaccination program targeting 181.5 million people.
