"We will temporarily close down the building from Monday until the beginning of the next session period on November 8," The Secretary General of the House of Representatives (DPR) Indra Iskandar said here on Thursday.
According to him, the DPR Secretariat cannot immediately close down the building because many staff still need to complete administrative and clerical tasks.
"So we still have to offer our services," he stated.
On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed as many as 4.538 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia to 315,714.
From Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients was up by 3,854 to 240,291, while the official covid-19 death toll rose by 98 to 11,472.
