He declined the claim that several villages are starting to disappear. He said that one of the factors is creation of new regions.
“The number of villages is starting to decrease not due to disappearance of villages but several of them have been transformed into urban communities (kelurahan),” Abdul said here on Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
According to him, another reason is the wrong data input. As a result, he called for better verification process to detect mistakes.
"This has also brought about the misperception that several villages are starting to disappear,” he said.
