"665 have been here. The rest are still in their hometown," Jakarta Health Office head Widyastuti said here on Tuesday.
According to her, the volunteers consist of general practioners, pulmonologists, pediatricians, internists, anesthetists, obgyn specialists, nurses, midwives, radiographers, lab experts and public health educators.
"They will work at regional hospitals, regional labs, public health centers (puskesmas), health agency offices as well as private hospitals in Jakarta," she explained.
On Tuesday afernoon, the Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 2,046 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases to 200,035.
From Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 2,306 to 142,958. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 100 to 8,230.
