Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday inspected mass covid-19 vaccination at Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI), Depok, West Java.

According to the President, the mass vaccination was carried out on approximately 1,200 educators, the elderly, and public servants.

He also saw firsthand the implementation of drive-thru vaccination for motorcycle taxi drivers, both for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

"We hope that the vaccination process will not only be carried out here but in other regions, in other provinces as well, it can be accelerated. Earlier, I received information from Minister of Health that today, it will also be held in Bandung and Tangerang massively," said the President, as quoted from the Cabinet Secretariat's website.

With the ongoing acceleration efforts, the President expressed his optimism on the improvement of daily vaccination achievement.

He hopes that this month the target for daily vaccination of 700,000 can be achieved so that the country can accomplish the daily vaccination of 1 million in July.
