In the second phase, the government will vaccinate more than 38 million people, including elders, public service officers and other priority groups.
"The number of the targeted people is 38,513,446," said the Ministry of Health's Disease Control and Prevention Director General Maxi Rein Rondonuwu during a virtual media briefing here on Monday.
On the beginning of the second phase, authorities will vaccinate 55,000 vendors at Tanah Abang market, the biggest textile market in Southeast Asia.
"The pilot project is at Tanah Abang Market," the Ministry of Health official stated.
For the record, the national covid-19 vaccination program has begun since January 13 in which President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the first jab.
As of Sunday, the Indonesian government has vaccinated more than one million health workers across the country.
