Although the government data shows a decreasing trend in covid-19 cases, all regional leaders are asked to stay vigilant.
"I ask governors, regents, even mayors to keep reminding people to keep implementing health protocols and synergize with the central government by implementing the Eid homecoming ban," said Jokowi here on Sunday.
Jokowi stated that the decreasing trend helps boost economic activities in many regions. This momentum, according to the president, has to be kept by all stakeholders.
The Head of State emphasized that the safety and health of Indonesian is still the government’s top priority. Hence, enforcement of health protocols as well as awareness towards the risk of covid-19 must be maintained.
Jokowi reminded all parties to not feel satisfied so easily. The decreasing trend does not mean that the pandemic situation is fully under control.
"Don't assume that you are safe," said the president. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
