    7,046 People Have Recovered from Coronavirus: South Sumatra Health Agency

    Palembang: The total number of recovered covid-19 patients in South Sumatra Province has increased to 7,046 as of Sunday.

    According to the South Sumatra Health Agency, the covid-19 recovery rate in the province has also increased to 81.91 percent.

    "The covid-19 recovery rate continues to improve," South Sumatra Health Agency's Survey and Immunization Section Head Yusri said here on Monday.

    In addtion, the province currently has 14 orange zones and 3 yellow zones. The orange zones are Muba, Musi Rawas, Musi Rawas Utara, OKU, OKU Timur, PALI, Muara Enim, OKI, Empat Lawang, Lahat, Kota Lubuklinggau, Pagar Alam, Prabumulih, and Palembang. Meanwhile, the yellow zones are Banyuasin, Ogan Ilir and OKU Selatan.

    To tackle the spread of coronavirus, the public have been urged to implement strict health protocols such as wearing face masks, regularly washing hands and always maintaining safe distance.
     
    In addition, the Indonesian government has distributed medical supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), portable ventilators, pcr test kits, and reagents.
