Both parties are part of the government coalition which have yet to receive political posts in the current government.
“The president will consider giving political posts to parties who were on Jokowi’s side at the time of the Presidential election," Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said here on Monday, November 25, 2019.
"He will decide when he will give them," he said.
In the 2019 presidential race, Jokowi and his running mate Ma’ruf Amin were supported by 10 parties which were Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Functional Groups (Golkar) Party, National Awakening Party (PKB), NasDem Party, United Development Party (PPP), Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Indonesian Unity (Perindo) Party, Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI), Hanura Party and PBB.
During the cabinet formation, Jokowi had given all political posts to all of the mentioned parties above, except Hanura and PBB.
“There are rules and calculations in giving political posts for the parties of the government coalition," Pramono said.
“That is the President’s prerogative," he added. (Translator: Muhammad Gestinev)
