Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force Reports 11,703 New Coronavirus Cases

Jakarta: Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force reported on Thursday 11,703 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia to 951,651.
 
From Wednesday noon until Thursday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country increased by 9,087 to 772,790.
 
Within the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll was up by 346 to 27,203.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has called on the nation to be optimistic this year since he believed health and economic sectors will recover after vaccination. 



According to the President, covid-19 vaccines to be distributed gradually to the public is the key to recover from the pandemic.

For the record, the Government began vaccination program last week after successfully completing all required vaccine procedures and development stages.
