Argo claimed not to know the letter of request from the KPK to search for Harun. He asked media to check with the KPK whether it has been sent or not.
"Check first, please check with the KPK whether it has been sent or not," he concluded.
Previously, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights noted that Harun had left Indonesia for Singapore on Monday, January 6, 2020 through Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, around 11:00 Local Time.
The Corruption Eradication Commission had conducted a total of eight arrests on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 until Thursday, January 9 in Jakarta, Depok and Banyumas. Of the eight people, Harun was not apprehended.
The KPK has announced four suspects related to bribery in the decision to elect 2019-2024 House of Representative (DPR) members on Thursday, January 9, 2020. KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan (WSE) and his confidant, Agustiani Tio Fridelina (ATF), were designated as the recipients of the bribe.
Wahyu allegedly asked for an operational fund of IDR900 million to help Harun become a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Harun wanted to replace Nazarudin Kiemas who died recently. Of this amount, Wahyu received IDR600 million.
