    Indonesia Logs 3,948 New Covid-19 Cases

    Jakarta: The Indonesian government today recorded 3,948 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 4,178,164.
    From Tuesday noon until Wednesday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients in the country increased by 11,046 to 3,953,519.
    In the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll was up by 267 to 139,682.

    The Indonesian Ministry of Health has launched a new feature in the PeduliLindungi Covid-19 tracking application to facilitate verification for Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreign nationals (WNA) who receive covid-19 vaccinations abroad. 


    "Today, we will introduce how Indonesian citizens and then, later on, foreigners can access PeduliLindungi application even though their covid-19 vaccine certificates are not obtained in Indonesia," Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Ministry of Health Setiaji said in a press statement on Tuesday, as quoted by the Cabinet Secretariat's website.

    According to Setiaji, the foreign-issued vaccination cardholders can register to for verification.
