    Covid-19 Death Toll in Indonesia Reaches 122: Spokesman

    Jakarta: The Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling today announced 129 new confirmed covid-19 cases, bringing the tally to 1,414.

    In the past 24 hours, the number of deaths increased by 8 to 122. In the meantime, the number of recoveries increased by 11 to 75.

    "As of today, there are new 129 positive cases. As a result, the total number of positive cases is 1,414," government spokesperson on matters related to covid-19 Achmad Yurianto said at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) headquarters, Matraman, East Jakarta on Monday, March 30, 2020.

    "The total number of deaths is 122," the spokesman stated.

    The official urged the public remain calm and maintain their personal hygiene. He also encouraged people to implement physical distancing.

    "Protect yourself, protect others and protect the nation," the Ministry of Health official stated.
