    Emergency Status Declared in 12 Regions

    Jakarta: A total of 12 local governments set emergency response status.  This status was determined after the 12 regions were hit by floods and landslides.

    Based on the Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) data until January 4, 2020, 1,317 houses were severely damaged, seven houses were moderately damaged, and 544 houses were slightly damaged.  Five public facilities were severely damaged, and three educational facilities were slightly damaged.

     "Then, two worship facilities were moderately damaged, and 24 bridges were severely damaged," BNPB Official Agus Wibowo said in his written statement, Jakarta on Monday, January 6, 2020.

    12 regions that declared the status of emergency response were, Bekasi City established the status of flood and landslide response on 1-7 January 2020, Bekasi Regency established the status of flood and landslide emergency response on January 2-8, 2020, West Bandung Regency set the status of flood and landslide emergency status on January 2-8 2020, Indramayu District established the status of emergency response on January 2-8, 2020.

    Depok City determined the status of emergency response to floods, landslides and strong winds on 1-7 January 2020, Bogor Regency determined the status of flood and landslide emergency response on 2-16 January 2020, Tangerang Regency established the status of emergency response to flash floods and landslides 1-  January 14, 2020.
     
    Then, the City of South Tangerang determined the status of emergency response for floods and landslides on 1-14 January 2020, Serang District established the status of emergency response for floods and landslide on 1-14 January 2020, and Lebak District established the status of emergency response for floods and land landslide on 1-14 January 2020.

     "With the status of the emergency response from the regional heads as well as facilitating the central government in providing assistance. In this case BNPB can provide ready-made funds (DSP) assistance to local governments," he concluded.
