3,344 Covid-19 Patients Treated in Athletes Village Emergency Hospital

Jakarta: The Kemayoran Athletes Village Emergency Hospital accommodated 3,344 covid-19 patients on Wednesday, increasing by 49 compared to the previous day.

"The number of inpatients at towers 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital is 3,344," said Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian in a written statement on Wednesday morning.



According to the official, the emergency hospital has accommodated as many as 61,776 patients since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020.

"57,692 patients recovered, 646 patients were transferred to other hospitals, while 84 patients passed away," he stated.

Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force reported 10,029 new coronavirus cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia to 1,233,959.
 
From Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country increased by 7,609 to 1,039,674.
 
Within the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll was up by 229 to 33,596.
