"182 recovered covid-19 patients were recorded today," the Ministry of Health's director general of disease control and prevention said at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) headquarters in East Jakarta on Tuesday, April 12, 2020.
From Monday noon until Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases increased by 484 people to 14,749 people. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed deaths rose by 16 people to 1,007 people.
"We need to strengthen cooperation between the central government, local governments and neighborhoods," the spokesman stated.
As part of the efforts to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic, the central government has announced it will enforce stringent health protocol at all entry points for Indonesian citizens returning from abroad.
the number of Indonesian citizens returning from the neighboring Malaysia starting from March 18, 2020 until Sunday, May 10, 2020 stood at 72,966 people.
