    Indonesia's Recovered Covid-19 Patients Surpass 20,000: Task Force

    Jakarta: The Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling today announced 1,178 new cases of covid-19, bringing the total to 50,187.

    From Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients surged by 791 to 20,449. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 47 t0 2,620.

    According to the covid-19 task force, the current number of persons under monitoring (ODP) is 37,294. On the other hand, the current number of patients under surveillance (PDP) is 13,323.

    "791 recovered patients were recorded today," government spokesperson on matters related to covid-19 Achmad Yurianto said during a virtual press conference here on Thursday.

    The Government has built an integrated information system, namely “Unite Against COVID-19” (BLC), to determine zones based on levels of transmission during the outgoing pandemic.

    According to President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, the system can show how many Regencies, Cities, and Provinces have changed their status from green to yellow, green to orange, green to red, or red to orange, red to yellow, and red to green.

    In the last few days, the number of positive cases is still increasing in several regions and some provinces report a large number of positive cases.
