"The current number of daily new cases is around 20. The total number will continue to increase. That is our prediction," the mayor said here on Wednesday.
To tackle the spread of the virus, the bogor city government has taken a wide range of measures, including providing more polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and adding more hospital beds.
"An asymptomatic covid-19 patients will not be treated at a hospital. Asymptomatic patients will undergo self-quarantine at a government building in Lido Area. The building can accommodate as many as 122 people," the mayor explained.
On Tuesday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force onfirmed 4,002 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia to 282,724.
From Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries in Indonesia increased by 3,567 to 210,437, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 128 to 10,601.
