    National Police Chief Comes to Palace Ahead of Cabinet Announcement

    Jakarta: National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian came to the Presidential Palace on Monday, October 21, 2019. Tito claimed that he was summoned by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
    Tito claimed not to know the purpose of why he was summoned. He was reluctant to speculate on his current position.

    "Don't know yet. we'll see after this," Tito told reporters before entering the palace.
    Those who have come to the Palace are alleged to be Jokowi's next members. Those who have been summoned are former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Mahfud MD, Founder of Go-Jek Nadiem Makarim, Net TV Chief Commissioner Whisnutama and President Jokowi's National Campaign Team head Erick Thohir.
    The police general predicts the meeting will discuss the conditions of security and public order after the Presidential inauguration. Tito was grateful that the inauguration process went well.
    "I am very relieved and would like to thank all parties who support the Indonesian Armed Forces  (TNI) as well as the Indonesian National Police (Polri)," he said.
