Jakarta: President Joko Widodo is scheduled to receive a visit from the Dutch Prime Minister (PM) Mark Rutte on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.
Based on the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its official website, the two heads of government planned to discuss bilateral cooperation.
The Dutch Prime Minister's visit to Indonesia is part of a series of tours around the Southeast Asian and Pacific regions. Next he will leave for New Zealand and Australia.
Dutch Prime Minister Rutte was accompanied by his Chief Adviser for Foreign Affairs and Defense as well as the National Coordinator for Security and Counter-terrorism in the Netherlands. In one day, he will meet with business people, students, academics and alumni of Dutch tertiary institutions in Jakarta.
Dutch Prime Minister Rutte last visited Indonesia in November 2016. At that time his visit brought important issues to be discussed including the joint challenges faced by the two countries, such as climate change, water security and combating terrorism.
