Bogor: President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo visits an area prone to landslides in an isolated area in Harkat Jaya, Sukajaya, Bogor.  Access to the village is still blocked by landslides since January 1, 2020.

According to's observations on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, Jokowi and his entourage of ministers were washed down by heavy rain while watching heavy equipment work at the affected area.  Because the rain was getting heavier, residents gave a jacket to Jokowi.

Jokowi decided to return to the Harkat Jaya Village Office because the rain was getting heavier.  The President had handed out food packages to affected residents.  The aid package contains fast food and residents' needs.

Jokowi also had a chance to talk with a middle-aged man.  He said that the road blocked by landslides made Urug, Kiara Pandak, Kiara Sari, and Cisarua villages isolated.

"There are several villages there that cannot be accessed by vehicles Pak," he told the President.

Previously, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Heru Budi Hartono handed over direct assistance to communities affected by landslides and flash floods in Sukajaya.  A total of 6,000 packages were delivered to around 6,000 households in the Sukajaya on Sunday, 5 January 2020.
