Jakarta: Former Constitutional Court (MK) chief justice Mahfud MD visited the Presidential Palace on Monday. Mahfud claimed to have been summoned by President Joko Widodo.
"I was summoned," Mahfud told reporters before entering the Presidential Palace.
Mahfud arrived at the Presidential Palace at around 9.30 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). He wore a long-sleeved white shirt and black pants.
Mahfud was widely reported to be occupying a seat in the new Cabinet. Mahfud's presence seemed to reinforce the reports.
However, Mahfud did not mention much about the topics that would be discussed with Jokowi. He immediately entered into the Presidential Palace leaving the media crew.
Previously, several Presidential Palace staff were seen carrying long-sleeved white shirts. The shirt is similar to the clothes usually worn by President Jokowi and cabinet members.
Jokowi still has not revealed the names of his new ministers. He asked all parties to wait patiently for the announcement. Jokowi hinted that there will be some ministers retained from his first cabinet as well as new members.
