The meeting was also attended by ministers and other high-ranking officials from the Advanced Indonesia cabinet.
"This morning, I inaugurate the opening of the national working meeting," said Jokowi here on Monday.
In his remarks, he warned of a possible food crisis due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The global pandemic has caused restricted movements of goods and people across the world.
According to President Jokowi, the agricultural sector occupies an increasingly central position in the global community. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have repeatedly warned of potential famines, especially in conflict hotspots.
"Therefore, we really have to take the management related to food seriously," said Jokowi.
