    Jokowi Inspects Infrastructure Project in Labuan Bajo

    Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today visited East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province to inspect the development of a multipurpose terminal at Labuan Bajo Port in West Manggarai Regency.

    According to information from the Presidential Palace, the multipuropose terminal is designed to separate cargo-related activities and tourism activities at Labuan Bajo Port.

    During the one-day working visit, the president was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Presidential Secretariat Head Heru Budi Hartono and other presidential staff.

    Besides inspecting the development of the transportation infrastructure project, President Jokowi also visited several tourists destinations in the region, including Batu Cermin and Kampung Ujung areas.

    In addition, to tackle the economic impacts of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, the former Jakarta governor disbursed  financial assistance to local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

    Labuan Bajo is the gateway to many tourist destinations in NTT Province, including the Komodo National Park, the home of Komodo dragons.
