    Jokowi to Inspect Food Estate Project in North Sumatra

    Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today traveled to North Sumatra Province to inspect a food estate project in the region.

    The food estate project is located in Ria-Ria Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. It is one of the government's national pilot projects.

    President Jokowi flew to Silangit International Airport in North Tapanuli from Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in East Jakarta. He then traveled to the location of the food estate project by land.

    Besides visiting the food estate project, President Jokowi is also scheduled to distribute land certificiates to local residents. To tackle the spread of covid-19, participants are ordered to wear face masks and implement other health protocols.

    During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by a number of ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
