Kadin Indonesia believes that the new cabinet must be supported by all parties for the progress of the nation.
"We appreciate the achievements of the government so far and welcome the composition of the cabinet chosen by the President," said Kadin Indonesia Chairman Rosan P. Roeslani, through his official statement, in Jakarta on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
As a partner of the government, Kadin Indonesia will work together with the new cabinet to realize Indonesia's aspiration to become a developed country with a revenue of Rp320 million per capita by 2045.
"We, Kadin Indonesia congratulate the new cabinet, hopefully, this cabinet can bring fresh air to businesses and the national economy," said Rosan.
He hopes the new cabinet formation can answer various challenges that plague the Indonesian economy such as the current account deficit, the trade balance deficit, the budget deficit, complicated business licensing process and poverty.
"Global business actors are still waiting for the development of the Chinese and US trade peace agreement in November. Regarding this matter, Indonesia is also still unable to take up opportunities related to the trade war between the two countries. And That will be our government's task moving forward," said Rosan
The government is also targeting Indonesia to increase its Ease of Doing Business ranking to 40 by 2020.
"To realize this, we support President Joko Widodo to carry out lengthy bureaucratic cuts and deregulation of rules. Because so far the complicated regulatory issues and long bureaucracy have become a burden on the business world," concluded Rosan.
