Annually, relatively stable CPI inflation was recorded at 1.42% (yoy) in March 2021 compared with 1.37% (yoy) in the previous period.
"72 surveyed cities experienced inflation, while the remaining 18 surveyed cities experienced deflation," BPS Chairman Suhariyanto in a video conference here on Monday.
Last month, The Board of Governors of Bank Indonesia (BI) agreed to hold the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate at 3.50%.
The central bank also decided to maintain the Deposit Facility (DF) rates at 2.75% and Lending Facility (LF) rates at 4.25%.
The decision was consistent with the need to maintain rupiah exchange rate stability amidst persistently elevated global financial market uncertainty despite projected low inflation.
